Fort Mason Center is an historic landmark that is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.  Originally a military garrison and embarkation port during WWII and the Korean Conflict , it is now a model of military base conversion that houses a theatre, arts organizations, environmental groups, a gourmet vegetarian  restaurant, conference facilities, classrooms and more.

Fort Mason is situated right on the San Francisco Bay, with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.  The rest of San Francisco is just a bus or a taxi ride away.

Ft. Mason does not have a street address - use the intersection of Marina Blvd, Buchanan St for online mapping (Google Maps shows an address of 300 Gaven for Ft. Mason - this is NOT correct).  See Ft. Mason Directions for more location details.
