Dave Churchville is a 17 year software industry veteran with experience ranging from Fortune 500 companies to tiny startups. He has been working with Agile methods for the last 7 years, and is the founder of ExtremePlanner Software, which develops tools for distributed Agile software teams.  Dave is a co-founder of Agile Open California.

Ainsley Nies has been an innovator, synthesizer and leader for more than two decades in the people side of information systems work.  As the principal of Acorn Consulting Enterprises (, she employs retrospectives in work with groups or organizations who want to perform at their highest level - creating collaborations, planning,managing programs/projects and helping to instill agility.  Ainsley also provides coaching for individuals, one-to-one and through Personal Retrospective Workshops.  Ainsley initiated the Agile and Retrospective SIGs at Hewlett Packard and led the groups until leaving the company.  She is on the leadership team of the Bay Area Agile Project Leadership Network and is a co-founder of Agile Open California.

Dennis Britton provides Agile Quality for Tacit Knowledge and is a Certified ScrumMaster Practitioner.

Vandana Shah has spent over a decade working in software development, on applications ranging from commercial implementations to internal mission-critical systems, and at fortune 500 companies as well as small startups. Convinced of the benefits, she began using Agile methods several years ago and is currently working to help customers successfully implement developer testing and adopt agile practices using Agitar's solution. Vandana was one of the initial members of Hewlett-Packard Agile SIG  and served on the core team. She likes to share her knowledge and expereince and has done so through talks and presentations at a number of conferences. Vandana has been a committe member of the Experience Reports track of the Agile conference for last two years and is a co-founder of Agile Open California.

David Vydra is the founder of Itarra, Inc. a consultancy that specializes in Developer Productivity. A veteran developer, tester, and coach he has worked with many top-tier Silicon Valley companies. He started using Agile methods 9 years and runs the on-line community. 

David Chilcott has been designing and building custom business applications since 1989. He’s the lead systems analyst and designer for Outformations, Inc.

His ability to abstract and capture complex system requirements and application flow, combined with his relational database application development experience, ensures that every Outformations solution has a solid, lasting foundation. His technical skills include use case and UML modeling; Unified Process, scrum and other agile/xp development methodologies/practices; application architecture and design; web and desktop application development; and various DBMS systems.

In addition to his background as a system architect, David holds a degree in group dynamics, and has completed formal training in creative problem solving. Using this experience, he leads focused, task-oriented client design sessions. His collaboration and communication skills support effective Agile project management and team facilitation, training, and consulting.

David is the founder of Outformations and a principal. He is a past president of the Bay Area Association of Database Developers, the founder and a board member of the Bay Area Agile Project Leaders Network (BayAPLN) local chapter, and he co-leads the Bay Area Rational User Group (BayRUG), co-hosted by Outformations.

David is a husband, step-father, and grandfather, and is active in healing, diversity, & social justice work.
